As part of the task, it was necessary to design a virtual test tube model and perform simulations on it. It was necessary to carry out a calculation of pressure losses, and in addition, also to determine the sufficient high velocity of air needed for the measurements. Already after the first calculations, it was clear that we could not achieve the required speed of 100 m/s. We thus lowered the requirements to more than 50 m/s using connected suction units. We also achieved a steady and homogeneous flow in the test tube at such speed. We made simulations showing the operation of the test station. We found pressure disruptions in the tube, which can be interesting for analysis at the built test site.
