Volunteer firefighter service in Slovenia is with 150 years of tradition and rich history a great field to study roles and work of women and man, who are part of it. Firefighting as peculiar man activity can present some obstacles for woman. Goals of my research are, to find out, which factors has an influence on smaller amount of women in different parts of organization and how partnership and family obligations influence women participation. I collected data for empirical part with survey and two interviews. Survey analysis, made among women volunteer firefighters showed that women generally think that volunteer firefighting in Slovenia is still predominantly masculine activity. In some core, there are still man, who do not accept women, and in others, there are women, who do not show the desire to cooperate or involve in activities. The analysis show that partnership and family obligations do not have a big influence on women involvement, the problem only occurs, when it comes to babysitting.
