In my thesis I have defined the concept of society and the influence of the media on it (as well the very concept of media or more precisely mass media). Each person is born without any knowledge and needs more and more time to be enrolled in socialization and to learn the abilities to survive, both physically and socially in society itself. Immediately after birth, one is involved in an already formed community consisting of social relations, relationships and institutions. Each society requires a long and unique process of socialization, since each society is made up of unique rules and relationships within it. Today, every individual is surrounded by a wealth of information that greatly influences his or her social and personal development and position. He/she draws on all this information from various media, which is overwhelmed by mass messages that he or she has difficulty selecting, processing and judging. The media plays a significant role in the development of an individual and can influence the individual both positively and negatively. With the help of new media and technologies, the painting, which was hinted to be extinct, also intensified. In my work, I describe the very emergence of new media that emerged with the invention of print, and from this graphic art developed. Also crucial is the development of the Internet itself, which I have also presented, and the impact it has on art, as well as its role or connection with the information age. In my work I also focused on the development of mass media (both old and new) where I found out that the beginnings of the mentioned media were in print, and in art this phenomenon is connected with the emergence of graphics. I also dedicated myself to the emergence of photography, Net art, graffiti, Pop art, etc. At the end of my diploma thesis, I also present my works, which relate to the whole text on the influence of the media on today's society and the arts.
