The goal was to find out which are the causes and signs of stress in the aforementioned generation and what consequences they have to face due to stress. The research was conducted using the survey method. Results show that the most common cause of stress among people of the Generation Y is time pressure, the most frequent consequence of stress is nervousness, and the best way of coping with stress is going outside and relaxing in nature.
It was found that stress issues are not well known and people of the Generation Y do not know how to cope with stress. Time pressure is seen as the most common cause of stress by people with short-term employment, the unemployed and those with high school education. Nervousness is perceived as the most frequent consequence of stress by the unemployed, people with non-managerial positions and with high school education. Socialising with friends and going out in nature are always the most common forms of coping with stress used by survey participants with long-term employment, non-managerial positions and high school education.
