The development of smart materials and bio-based materials, which achieve excellent thermal and mechanical properties, is increasingly relevant. In my thesis, I synthesized bio-based benzoxazine and investigated the mechanical properties and shape memory effect of the copolymer of benzoxazine and epoxy resin. I used dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) to study the mechanical properties and shape memory effect. The cross-linked benzoxazine based on resorcinol and stearylamine did not show the best mechanical properties, but with thermomechanical DMA cycles, I confirmed and evaluated the shape memory effect. The sample achieved a high shape-fixing ratio (90–92%) and a high shape recovery ratio (72–98%).
