The diploma thesis, titled »Website renovation for the multiconference«, presents in detail the renovation of the website for the multiconference, which occurs every year at the Jožef Stefan Institute. The renovation was necessary, primarily because of the functionalities that did not satisfy the current users and organisers, as well as because the content was not presented properly. The renovated website should fulfil all the wishes in all required areas as best as possible, making the website easier to use. The diploma thesis describes the brief history of the development of the old and modern web, the languages we use for creating websites as well as lists the content management systems that help us build websites. Following, the field of website production is presented in terms of the presentation and data access layers. The main part presents the entire cycle of website design. A great deal of emphasis is on understanding user experience and user-oriented design as well. The website was created using the WordPress system. The user experience was tested on the final realisation of the renovated website with usability testing, the test also involving questions, related to the comparison between the old and the renovated website. The results were evaluated, and the findings showed, whether the renovated website provided an enhanced user experience, compared to the previous one. The analysis of all the results is graphically presented and evaluated in detail.
