In my master's thesis, I am focusing on the theme of meeting partners through mobile application Tinder. Due to the information technology flourishing, intimacy field has gained a new market through online dating which is especially popular in the last few years by using dedicated mobile applications. The partnership relations that changed in the course of societal changes themselves, in the post-modern era, differ from the romantic relationships that were characteristic of pre-modern societies. The reason for this is undoubtedly new technologies enabling us to meet new people. The advantages include a variety of choice, easier first contact, anonymity and less vulnerability in the event of a potential rejection, and on the other hand, laws of the functioning of the economic market can be observed in meeting people this way. In the empirical part of the thesis, I tested the application itself and the experience of active users, where I tried to answer the research questions through six structured interviews and covert observation.
