We live in an era where robotics and artificial intelligence are successfully developing. The
product of this is the development of all kinds of robots, even humanoids. All these novelties
have potentially bad consequences. This is why it is very important for us to rethink all
possible consequences and alarm the world about the bad ones. This master thesis is at first
briefly presenting topics of robotics, artificial intelligence and robots. After that we
concentrate on ethical questions considering our jobs, robot use in the army, ethical issues
with self-driving cars and, at the end, we examine ethical questions considering human-like
robots and robots that already took place in our day-to-day life as cleaning helpers or even as
lovers. We also present empirical study of human (elder population) relationship with robots
that are already in our homes. This point of view is very important, because human attitude
towards robots also helps us define how good or bad the presence of such robots is.
