The purpose of the diploma work is the spatial analysis of prehistoric sites in the area of the Celje basin. The emphasis is on the research of topographic characteristics, extent, structures and traces on the Miklavški hrib in Celje. Research is based on laser scanning data, as well as on their visualizations and interpretations. The results showed that there were some settlements in the area of the Celje basin, past which the alleged communication paths took place. The visualization of the digital model of the relief of the Miklavški hrib assumes that the size of the settlement is greater than it was known to date, as it is expected to extend across the entire hill. In the immediate vicinity of Miklavški hrib, it is supposed to be the junction of communication paths connecting the basin area with a wider area. However, given the smaller number of sites, and consequently the settlements, the results suggest that the Celje basin should be a transitional area only.
