Visualization is an important element of quality teaching of nutritional content. With a study involving
69 students aged from 11 to 12, we wanted to find out which of the visual guidelines of healthy eatihgfood
pyramid or food plate were used more often by students to solve selected tasks. A survey
questionnare was created for the purpose of research. The results of the research indicate superficial
knowledge of the nutritional content studied. The reasons for this could also be sought in superficial
reading of dietary visualization schemes. The results also showed the danger of incorrect interpretation
of nutritional recommendations, and suggest on the need for reflection on the refinement of
visualization schemes.
