The diploma paper presents the results of a study of the time at workplaces in the production of soft polyurethane foam. In order to carry out the analysis, two methods were used, namely, a picture of a working day and a method of random recording. From the image of a working day, we received information on the actual times spent for the implementation of individual elements of the work process, which add added value to products and time losses in the performance of the work. In order to determine the proportions of individual time structures of workplace activities, we used the random recording method, which lasted 21 working days. On the basis of the results of both analyzes, we have defined the time norms that the company will use for the purposes of planning and managing production. The task concludes with proposals for continuous improvement in time loss elimination.
