The main goal of the following thesis is the analysis of the wildwater kayak basic forward stroke efficiency on flatwater. The difference in technical profficiency between a high level athlete and a developing one is observed. In addition, the purpose of this paper is further testing of the measurements and analysis protocols in real world conditions, as the goal of the featured analysis analysis is a frequent and relatively simple use which results in a steady improvement of quality of paddler`s technique.
Knowledge and understanding of kinematics and dynamics of the wildwater kayak basic forward stroke published and defined in the first chapter of this thesis are the key to performing a sucesful analysis.
The measurements are performed by two athletes on a flat surface of the Ljubljanica river. A video of both athletes paddling at three different intensity zones over the same distance will be taken.
A tablet will be used for measurements and analyisis of the wildwater kayak basic forward stroke.
Furthermore, the analysis of the presented variables and their mutual dependencies and correlations will be looked into and explained.
We came to a solid conclusion, that differences in values of the parameters between the two athlets of different skill levels exist.
We also confirm, the the said process of measurements and analysis of wildwater kayak basic forward stroke can be performed in a very short duration of time, which gives this paper a real practical value.
We conclude that the improvement in level of the technique in wildwater kayak basic forward stroke is a continious and neverending process throughout the whole athlete`s career.
