Magistrsko delo obravnava Sartrovo filozofijo svobode in njeno literarno ubeseditev v romanu V zrelih letih (L'âge de raison). Prvi del pričujočega teksta je posvečen Sartrovemu življenju in delu. Naslednja poglavja so povzetek in analiza romana v luči Sartrove filozofije svobode. The master's thesis deals with Sartre's philosophy of freedom in its literary form in his novel The Age of Reason (L'âge de raison). The first part provides basic information about Sartre's life and work. The second part briefly summarizes his philosophy of freedom, especially as conceived in his early works Being and nothingness (L'être et le néant) and Existentialism is a humanism (L'existentialisme est un humanisme). The following chapters contain the summary and analysis of the novel in light of Sartre's philosophy of freedom. The main goal of this thesis is to ascertain whether The Age of Reason is just an illustration of a particular philosophical idea or if it can, on the other hand, on account of its psychological complexity and its expressive force, stand as an independent work of art.
