Neighborly relations are nowadays very important, but unfortunately, these are not always the best. More and more often, there are conflicts on the border, which separates the parcels of different land owners. The diploma thesis presents examples from practice, where the surveying services related to boundary settlement of parcels are not completed with the administrative decision, but the settlement of land disputes continue in non-litigious proceedings. Examples from the practice for the analysis of these cases are gathered from the Geodetic Administration Maribor. The first part of the diploma thesis representing legislation, which covers the judicial process of boundary settlement and recording of changes in the land cadastre. A land dispute will be presented in detail, why it comes to it, what are the solutions, and how and when the land dispute is finished. In concluding part will be presented statistical overview of the non-litigious proceedings in the country court in the area Geodetic Administration in Maribor.
