Ugotavljanje poznavanja posledic (vplivov) svetlobnega onesnaževanja med osnovnošolci

»Svetlobno onesnaženje okolja je emisija svetlobe, ki poveča naravno osvetljenost okolja in povzroča za človekov vid motečo osvetljenost in občutek bleščanja« (Ministrstvo za okolje in prostor, 2018). Povečanje umetnega osvetljevanja je povezano z razvojem industrije, povečanjem gospodarske blaginje in rastjo prebivalstva ter s seboj prinaša tudi negativne učinke na ljudi, živali in rastline, tako z vidika varovanja zdravja kot tudi porabe denarja (ekonomski vidik). Zaradi zavedanja porušenega ravnovesja med svetlim in temnim delom dneva so bili izdani številni nasveti in priporočila za zmanjšanje umetnega osvetljevanja v gospodinjstvu kot tudi za osvetljevanje javnih površin in objektov. Cilj magistrskega dela je bil raziskati zavedanja, stališča in poznavanje posledic svetlobnega onesnaževanje med osnovnošolci. Uporabljena je bila deskriptivno in kavzalno neeksperimentalna metoda. Podatki so bili pridobljeni s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Raziskava je bila izvedena na vzorcu 110 učencev 9. razreda. Rezultati so pokazali, da pomembnih razlik pri poznavanju vplivov in posledic svetlobnega onesnaževanja med učenci, ki prihajajo iz vasi in učenci, ki prihajajo iz mesta ni. Učenci se zavedajo, da ima čezmerna umetna svetloba tudi negativne posledice za rastline, živali in ljudi. Rezultati so tudi pokazali, da proučevane vsebine pri predmetu gospodinjstvo anketirani učenci niso obravnavali, zato menim, da bi bilo smiselno v prihodnje tej vsebini posvetiti večjo pozornost. Smiselno bi bilo organizirati izobraževanje za učitelje, v okviru katerega bi spoznali smernice in dobili ideje za vpeljave omenjene vsebine v pouk gospodinjstva.

Naslov:Identification of knowledge of the consequences (influences) of the light pollution among the students of the elementary school

“Light pollution of the environment is the emission of light which increases the natural illumination of the environment and causes disturbing illumination and the feeling of glare for the human sight” (Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, 2018). The increase of the artificial illumination is connected with the development of industry, the increase of economic well-being, and the growth of the population. It also causes some negative influences on people, animals, and plants from the perspective of the protection of health and also the consumption of the money (economic perspective). Because of the awareness of the destroyed balance between the light and the dark part of the day, numerous recommendations and pieces of advice have been issued to diminish artificial illumination in the household and of public surfaces and buildings. The goal of the master’s thesis was to research the awareness, attitudes, and knowledge of the consequences of the light pollution among the students of the elementary school. The descriptive and the causal non-experimental methods have been used. The data was acquired by means of the survey questionnaire. The research was performed on the pattern of 100 students in the ninth grade. The results showed that there are no significant differences in knowing the influences and consequences of light pollution between the students who come from the villages and from the city. The students realize that the excessive artificial light has also negative consequences for plants, animals, and people. The results also showed that the students did not discuss the studied contents within the subject of housekeeping. Therefore, I believe that it would make sense to pay more attention to this content. It would make sense to organize education for the teachers where they could learn about the directives and get the ideas to introduce the mentioned content into the lessons of the subject of housekeeping.
