Master’s degree thesis’ main intention was to research the changing structure of ski instructors that participated in ski instructor courses by their age, gender and place of residence during the period of ten years. The detailed statistical research was performed according to data, achieved by means of the application named »ŠPAK«.
Master’s degree thesis’ goal was to find out whether there exist typical statistical differences between compared generations of participants in ski instructor courses in all ski disciplines (alpine skiing, nordic skiing and other ski disciplines).
The sample included all participants of both gender (7013 subjects) that participated in the years 2007 to 2017 in different levels of ski instructor courses (U1, U2 and Coach) for all ski disciplines (alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, nordic combined, biathlon, telemark skiing, freestyle skiing, ski guide, nordic walking and running, nordic skating and blading). The participants came from all parts of Slovenia as well as from some other foreign countries.
All of the three master’s thesis’ goals, that were to find out the differences between compared generations of participants in ski instructor courses in all ski disciplines by their age, gender and place of residence, were as to results accomplished. We came to the conclusion that there exist typical statistical differences for all of the researched parameters and that is why we accepted all three hypothesis. We explained the reasons for that differences with the following facts: there was a different age limit introduced for accession to ski instructor courses, there was a new way of organizing lectures and practical training, there was a new central way of theoretical and practical examining of participants, the new Law of sports was passed, Ski Association of Slovenia has an arrangement with Italian Winter Sports Federation and also with the fact how many ski resorts there are in each region of Slovenia.
