My dissertation is subject to show the
raising awareness of the effects that
a designer’s work brings through the
process of creating a socially responsible
packaging for the coffee industry.
With this work, I would like to show
that there is a possibility for a product,
designed for the entire world. The aim
is to create a product that would bring
overall welfare to everyone: the people
who would be producing it and the ones
using it. At the same time, it would nullify
the negative effects in the areas where it
would not be used as well, which is often
a problem that modern companies tend
to deny.
The packaging that we outlined was
created on the basis of the results that
were shown through various studies
of different prototypes which were also
tested with the processors in the coffee
industry. The final result shows the
conceptual design of the packaging,
created with a minimal carbon blueprint
that diversifies the product from
other products already existing in the
marketplace. I have also designed a
concept of entering the market and
positioning the company in it.
