Greenhouses all around the world enabled better production of vegetables and ornamental plants. They differ based on a climate of the geographical region and technology, that will be used for climate control. Climate also affects the technology. Regions with warmer or colder climates do not need the same climate control technology. Warmer climates require simpler control, that is mainly ventilation, because of higher temperatures, and shading. In latter technology has to be more complex. Besides ventilation and shading, there is also a need to heat the greenhouse and control the humidity in it. Technology is also affected by plant chosen. Different plants have different needs, especially optimal growth temperatures, amount of solar radiation recieved or needs for shading, air humidity and water needs. Growers with more advanced greenhouses use CO2 for atmosphere enrichment, which allow plants better growth conditions. If climate and plant needs are considered and if climate is controled well, than production is more efficient and expenses are lower. Responsible use of technology for climate control lowers harmful gas emissions, which makes production environmentally friendly.
