Nowadays, also due to ever increasing ecological awareness, we wish our household appliances to spend as little electrical power as possible, which also applies to the energy efficiency of a dryer that strongly depends on the heat and mass transfer. The aim of the paper is an experimental verification of possibilities for the improvement of heat and mass transfer in a dryer. Accordingly, we have designed a new condenser with the maximum surface in the part where the process of condensation is unfolding, and possibilities of improvement in draining of condensate. To this purpose, we manufactured a new condenser with a larger transfer surface based on a simple mathematical model. In order to analyse the improvement, we manufactured a measuring line, which provided real working conditions for a condenser.
