When marketing a product, it is essential to know its behaviour during the entire life cycle. For this purpose, a series of tests that cover a large spectrum of load and environmental stress scenarios are performed. Testing in such scenarios helps us to determine the reliability of the product during operation.
The thesis considers the fatigue of an in-wheel motor, for which the loads are defined according to the international standard SAE - J328/2016-3. A new testing procedure was developed in order to combine the research of fatigue and mechanical response of the construction to a series of different loads.
The results are separated into two parts. The first part represents the result of the fatigue testing, where the construction is evaluated according to the movements in the air gap before and after the test, while the second part shows the values of movements in the air gap and their dependence on the applied load.
