The diploma thesis deals with the equipment layout design of press department and creation of the most suitable material flow according to the given limitations. The right equipment layout design at the production facility enables shorter flows of orders, reduction of money waste due to excess transport and reduction of inter-phase stocks.
For spatial equipment layout design is available a number of different methods. In this work, the Schmigalla triangular method and the pairwise exchange method are presented in detail. The obtained results are further analysed with the visTABLE software tool.
The conclusions of the task presents the results of various variants of equipment layout design according to the selected methods and an assessment of the suitability of the use of these methods with regard to various, in particular, the space constraints of the equipment layout design in the production facility space.
