This master's thesis addresses problems regarding the construction of a drive station of a cargo cable car with a tensioning station. The static calculations and dimensions of the construction have been designed in a way that the construction meets the strength requirements and the requirements of applicable standards at the expected workload. Above all, the best possible utilization of the used materials had to be guaranteed. The size and simplicity of the construction were also of great importance. Furthermore, a numerical calculation of the construction has been performed in the software environment Abaqus with regards to the presupposed workload. The result is a physical product – the construction of a drive station with a tensioning station for a cargo cable car, today mostly used to ferry supplies to homes and buildings at hard-to-reach locations. It is also the only acceptable way of getting supplies to mountain huts within the protected national parks such as the Triglav National Park in Slovenia. In emergency cases, this apparatus can also be used to transport injured individuals to the valley, taking additional measures into account.
