The following Master thesis is discussing violence against migrants on Balkan route. First it analyses different views on migration. It analyses key factors of migration which are important for understanding the question of migration itself. It discusses briefly discourse of security and control, illegalisation, criminalisation, racism and other. Through analysis of European migration politics and further through asylum politics of chosen countries as Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia, wants to show the most prevalent but frequently unseen structural violence. Beside structural violence gives a big emphasis on direct violence, more specifically in police violence. It analyses different aspects of police itself. Through different theories of violence analyses practices of violence in countries mentioned above. Important emphasis is also perspective of masculinity and their vulnerability which is also one of the most common consequence of violence.
