Today, more and more organizations are deciding to organize events, as this form of communication brings the results and helps achieve the organization's success. The organization of events requires a lot of knowledge, experience and resources, so it is important that at the very beginning a survey is carried out to determine whether an organization can organize an event, what it wants to achieve with the event, or whether the event will produce the desire results.
The purpose of the diploma was to study the field of event management and to conduct a survey organized by the Association of Friends Youth Slovenia. In the framework of the research, the preparation and implementation of the National Child Parliament event was analysed using the methods of case study in the survey.
The results of the survey show that the National Children's Parliament event has become absolete and has not met the expectations of the participants in the past year. More than half of the participants stated that the event should be changed and adapted to the interests of young people. An event that does not meet the expectations of the participants does not bring the desired results and reimbursement of cost. The participants at the event are the key to achieving the goals and purpose of the organization, so the event must be analysed after the performance, adjust the wishes in the needs of the participants, prepare new suggestions for improvements and take them into account at the next event.
