V odbojkarski igri se pojavlja veliko kompleksnega gibanja, zaradi katerega standardni testi obremenitve niso najbolj primerni. Vsi igralci, razen libera, so skozi celotno tekmo izpostavljeni različnim skokom (servis, podaja, napadalni udarec, blok). Igralci so s to napravo odigrali 11 tekem (42 setov).

Naslov:Monitoring the number of jumps to asses the volleyball load
Izvleček:
Throughout the sport of volleyball, players are constantly exposed to various levels of physical exertions while setting, serving, attacking and blocking. The purpose of this research is to determine if repetitive jumping and the height of an athlete's vertical jumps have a significant impact on an athlete's load during a standard game of volleyball. We collected our data using a MyVert device. This device was attached to the eight most attractive athletes on a volleyball team from Qatar, named El Jaish. To obtain this data properly, each of the eight players were subjected to participate in 11 standard volleyball games; a total of 42 volleyball sets. Using the MyVert device, we obtained each athletes' specific number of jumps as well as the height of each of their jumps. The movements during a volleyball game are very complex; therefore, the standard load tests are inadmissible, and we chose to obtain our data through this method to obtain a more accurate result. The results of our research show that the setter consists of the most frequent number of jumps in a volleyball match, but the lowest in height compared to other positions. However, the opposite hitter position consists of the highest jumps, but the lowest in frequency. When we restrict the amount of data down to one set, we can properly compare results between both: frequency and height. Additionally, we noted that there were a few similarities across the different athletes' positions. For example, we found that the frequency of jumps in both the middle blockers and the opposite hitter were relatively closer than the other positions. In addition, when measuring the height of the athlete's jumps, we discovered that the setter and receivers had the most similar results when compared across the other positions. In conclusion, we have established that the position of a volleyball athlete determines their amount of load during a standard game of volleyball. This is due to the inconsistent fluctuation in the frequency and height across the different positions in the sport of volleyball.
